The Wednesdays finish the year with Homer's Odyssey. One of the ASCenter's most popular courses, The Wednesdays is the perfect chance to explore literary classics with Dr. Helms and Kim and enjoy the company of your ASC community. Bring friends, food, dogs: All are welcome!
Let me remind you of two absolutely, totally, completely essential things: always read aloud and always reread the poems until they're coming out of your ears, which is to say lots. Poems are the most condensed form of human utterance (save perhaps for Maybe & No); its thus impossible to get much out of them on a single reading. Rereading will reward you immensely. Who doesn't like immense rewards?
Alan says, "Abebooks.com has 180 copies of The Complete Poems and Plays starting at $2.50. Eliot's definitely hard, but definitely worth our effort, & always thrilling. A truly great poet." Join us; all are welcome!
