Covenant Renewal Sunday, our annual ritual of faith and investment, was an exciting triumph on April 1^st, 2007. Placing our pledges together into the ASC Ark of the Covenant, and celebrating downstairs afterward over brunch, we raised nearly $200,000 toward our pledge goal of $250,000 by June, to build next year’s budget (July 2007 – June 2008). And as you can see in the pic charts at the bottom of this page, pledges and their payment make up nearly 50% of our annual operating budget for staff, building expenses, music, children’s programming, and all the rest.

Approximately 200 Arlington Street Church members and friends pledged on Covenant Renewal Sunday. If you are one of the ones who missed it, Covenant Renewal is a process that continues throughout the Spring! Brochures can be found every Sunday in the pews, and can be downloaded here [pdf] as well. 2007’s Covenant Renewal season is off to a very strong start, and we need everyone’s help to take us to the finish line!

The Covenant pledge forms also feature a brochure giving more detail on volunteer opportunities across the ASC community. Last year, more than 80% of us pledged volunteer service on our cards in addition to our financial pledges!
